WHO ARE WE

The Fort Worth Youth Athletic Association (FWYAA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, founded in 2021,  offering youth sports, literacy, teamwork, good sportsmanship, and sports development for underserved youth ages 4-18 located in the Fort Worth Area.  Our league is registered with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) so membership with AAU will be required of our athletes, volunteers, and coaches.

Our mission is to build leaders of the future and to help prepare them for higher education.  Our programs instill in our athletes that they are scholar-athletes first and not athlete-scholars.  We have volunteers that help provide tutoring for our athletes and we also work closely with the schools.

Our coaches are AAU members and have background checks completed to ensure the safety of our youth.  Our coaches also participate in the Positive Coaching Aliance training that helps prepare them to coach our athletes and ensure that they are using positive coaching and teaching our athletes about life experiences.  We are always looking for volunteer coaches because no coach means no team.  If you are interested in coaching, please click HERE.
